we recently Visited Chang Mai and the Patara Elephant Farm and It rose above to be our highlight and most unforgettable experience. We came and they give a short talk about the animals and caring for them. And then we begin by meeting your elephant for a day, and new friend. You start by feeding and becoming friends, then brushing them and onto washing them in the river. You also have a guide for a day to help with the experience. They are very kind and helpful. After you've prepared the elephant for the journey, it is time to climb up and ride them into the mountains. The trek is about 2.5 miles( I think), they were challeging trails that the elephants handle nicely. The end is at a waterfall. Its beautiful. They feed you a fabulous lunch and then you swim with the elephants. It's amazing. I would recomed it to anyone.Over and over again.
